The short version
Tutor Badger keeps your account details, the courses and lessons made for you, what was read from the job adverts you gave, and how far you are through each lesson. It uses them only to teach you, sells nothing and shows no advertising.
Signing in sets one cookie and there is no analytics. Ask privacy@tutorbadger.com anything, or to have everything deleted.
This summary is here to be read. The clauses below are what actually binds.Tutor Badger is operated by Dale Mooney, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described here.
What is kept
- Your account: email address, name if you give one, and a hashed password. The password itself is never stored.
- Your courses: what was read from the job adverts you gave (the role, the rate and the skills asked for, as text; the images are not kept), the skills map, the course plan and its lessons.
- Your progress: which step of each lesson you reached, and which lessons you finished.
Why, and on what basis
To provide the service you asked for, which is the contract between you and Tutor Badger. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling or training anybody's models.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores its data and the lesson audio.
- Resend sends the password reset email, and sees your address to do so.
- Anthropic writes the lessons from the adverts' text. The site itself sends it nothing yet; lessons are made separately and uploaded.
How long
For as long as you have an account. When it is closed, everything above is deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object, at privacy@tutorbadger.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Ask, and the wording gets fixed rather than explained.
